TL;DR

  • ·Site content is general information about our products and how to buy them — not legal, financial, or professional design advice.
  • ·Product photos are as color-accurate as we can make them, but full-grain leather and natural fabrics have subtle natural variation — it's a feature, not a defect.
  • ·Prices, stock, and lead times can change without notice. The price at checkout is the price you pay.
  • ·Pumela is independent — we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or licensed by Ligne Roset (the original Togo manufacturer) or any other furniture brand.
  • ·Configurator suggestions and design help from our team are friendly recommendations, not professional interior design services.
  • ·Statutory consumer rights (EU/UK consumer law, US state law) apply independently of anything written on this page.

What this disclaimer covers

Everything on the Pumela site — product pages, marketing copy, configurator output, blog posts, design tips, FAQ answers — is general information about our products and how to buy them. We work hard to keep it accurate, but it isn't a substitute for professional legal, financial, or interior-design advice. Where this page conflicts with a binding document (Terms, Warranty, Return and Refund Policy, Shipping Policy), the specific document governs.

Product representation

We use color-corrected photography on every product page, but how the piece looks on your screen depends on monitor calibration, ambient lighting, and the materials we're photographing. Expect minor differences between what you see online and what you see at home.

Full-grain leather is a natural material. Subtle variation in grain pattern, color depth, surface markings, and small healed scars is normal and is one of the reasons full-grain ages so well. We don't treat this as a defect, and neither does our warranty.

Fabric weaves can vary slightly between production runs — yarn dyeing and weaving are batch-based processes. If you order multiple modules at different times, ask us about lot-matching before placing the order and we'll help where we can.

Dimensions on product pages reflect manufacturing tolerance to within standard upholstery industry norms. Minor variation (typically less than 1 cm / 0.4″) is expected.

Pricing, availability & offers

Prices, stock levels, and lead times are accurate at the moment they load on your screen. They can change without notice — currency fluctuation, raw-material costs, or facility scheduling sometimes pushes them. The price and lead time at checkout is the price and lead time on your order.

Promotional offers — welcome discounts, seasonal sales, referral credits — are governed by our Promo Terms page. Eligibility, exclusions, and stacking rules live there.

US prices are shown in USD. EU and UK customers see local currency at checkout, with applicable VAT and customs duties calculated where supported.

Design references & trademarks

The “Togo” modular sofa silhouette was originally designed by Michel Ducaroy and produced by Ligne Roset starting in 1973. The “Togo” name as a registered trademark belongs to Ligne Roset.

Pumela is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or licensed by Ligne Roset — or any other furniture manufacturer, past or present. We manufacture modular floor seating to the same materials specification and proportions as the iconic original, but our pieces are independently designed and produced to our own spec: full-grain leather, kiln-dried solid hardwood frame, high-density high-resilience foam. We work directly with our overseas facility on every piece we ship.

Where the word “Togo” appears on this site, we use it descriptively to identify the modular floor-sofa silhouette in which we specialize. We make no claim of ownership over the “Togo” name or trademark, and we don't intend to suggest affiliation with the original manufacturer or with the designer's estate.

All third-party trademarks, brand names, and design identifiers referenced or implied on this site remain the property of their respective owners. If you're contacting us about a trademark or intellectual-property concern, email legal@pumela.com.

Design recommendations, not professional advice

Our team genuinely loves helping customers plan their space. The Configurator suggestions, room-planning sketches we email back, and the design tips you'll find on the FAQ and Care pages are all friendly, opinionated recommendations grounded in our team's experience — not professional interior design services.

For projects that need binding professional design work (specifying for a commercial fit-out, accessibility compliance, sign-off on a floorplan), engage a credentialed interior designer or architect.

Warranty, returns & shipping

This disclaimer doesn't replace or override the binding terms in:

Where this disclaimer conflicts with any of those documents, the specific document governs.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pumela's liability arising from your use of the site or your purchase of a Pumela product is limited to the value of the order in question. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive losses — lost profits, lost time, third-party costs — that flow from site use or product use, except where local law expressly prohibits this limitation.

EU, UK & US state consumer rights apply independently. If you live in the EU, UK, EEA, California, Colorado, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer-law protections (statutory guarantees of conformity, the right of withdrawal, implied warranties, the right to seek certain remedies), those rights apply regardless of anything in this disclaimer. Whichever standard provides more protection for the relevant claim governs.

Changes to this disclaimer

We may update this page as the business evolves — new product lines, new shipping regions, new regulatory requirements. The most recent version is always the one on this page; the “Last updated” date at the top reflects when it last changed.

Material changes (anything that would meaningfully shift your rights or our representations) will also be flagged via email to subscribers and a notice on the site for at least 30 days.

Final disclaimer language must be reviewed by counsel before going live to customers. Specific wording around design references, trademark acknowledgments, and limitation of liability may need adjustment per jurisdiction.
