How can we help?

Shipping, returns, warranties, and everything in between — straight answers, no runaround.

Got questions?

We've got answers.

Everything you'd want to know before ordering your Togo — from fit checks to financing, shipping timelines to spilled wine. Pick a category below, or scroll through.

Will It Fit?

The number-one thing customers ask before ordering.

Will the Togo fit through my doorway?

For most standard US doorways (32″+), absolutely. The Togo is modular — pieces arrive as compact, manageable units rather than one giant boxed sofa. The Fireside Chair clears a 30″ door comfortably; the Sofa and Corner module want at least 32″.

Tighter space? Email support@pumela.com with your doorway, stairwell, and elevator measurements before ordering — we'll map a route with you.

Does the Togo break down for tight spaces?

Each module ships as one finished piece and stays that way — there's no frame to disassemble. What helps with tight spaces: the cushions detach completely (which makes each module lighter and slimmer to maneuver), and you're moving one modular unit at a time rather than wrestling a one-piece sectional. For tight turns, measure the largest single module against the narrowest spot in your path before ordering.

What are the exact dimensions of each piece?

Full overall, seat-depth, and seat-height dimensions are listed on each product page. If you need a specific measurement that isn't shown — like the height of a single module with cushions removed for moving — email support@pumela.com and we'll send it over the same day.

How much clearance do I need around the sofa?

Six inches of breathing room behind and beside each piece is comfortable for cleaning and design. For walkways in front, plan on at least 30 inches if it's a primary path through the room.

Is there a room planner or AR tool?

Our Togo Configurator lets you mock up your exact modular layout, swap materials live, and save the build to your account. AR previews are on the roadmap. In the meantime, painter's tape on the floor is the designer's classic trick — and it works.

How tall is the seat? Is it comfortable for tall people?

Seat height is intentionally low — around 13 inches from floor to seat top. That low-slung lounge profile is part of the design language. Tall folks (6'2"+) tend to love how the deep seat lets them stretch out. If you prefer upright, dining-chair-style seating, the Togo isn't that — and that's the point.

Materials & Construction

What's actually inside (and on) every Togo we ship.

What kind of leather do you use?

Full-grain leather — the highest grade of leather you can buy. The natural surface is intact: not sanded down, not heavily coated, not pieced together from scraps. Full-grain develops a patina over years and gets better with age.

We don't sell “genuine leather,” “split leather,” or “bonded leather.” Those are downgrades — common at lower price points, but they wear out fast and never patina the way real full-grain does.

How close is your Togo to the original?

Honest answer: about 98% faithful. Same low-slung silhouette, same modular proportions, same materials specification — full-grain leather and the same fabric spec the original iconic design has been built on for 50+ years. The remaining 2% is mostly small construction details and the price tag.

Are your fabrics pet- and kid-friendly?

The fabric is woven to the same density and resilience spec as the original — built for decades of everyday family life. Kids, snack debris, jumping, naps: all fine. Pets are fine too, though no fabric is fully claw-proof. For high-traffic households with active pets, leather is often the more forgiving choice.

What's inside the cushions?

High-density, high-resilience polyurethane foam built to the same specification as the original. The fill keeps its shape under years of daily use rather than collapsing flat after one summer. For specific compliance documentation (CertiPUR-US, REACH, etc.) for your order, email support@pumela.com.

Does it meet California TB117-2013 and Prop 65?

Our pieces ship to California in compliance with TB117-2013 flammability standards, without added chemical flame retardants. Where applicable, Prop 65 warnings are included on product packaging per state law.

Where is the Togo made?

At our overseas facility, by craftspeople who specialize in modular upholstered furniture. Every piece is built to the same specification as the iconic original — same leather, same fabric, same proportions — just at a price that doesn't require a second mortgage.

How heavy is each piece?

Weights vary by module and material. Per-piece weights are listed on each product page — handy if you're planning an upper-floor walk-up delivery. If you need it before that, email support@pumela.com.

Try Before You Buy

How to feel confident before clicking checkout.

Can I check the materials before I order?

We don't run a swatch program right now. Instead, every product page carries high-resolution macro photography of each leather and fabric option, and the Configurator lets you preview combinations across your exact module setup. Want to go deeper on a specific material — weave density, leather tannage, color tone under different light? Email support@pumela.com and we'll share specifics. The 30-day return window is your safety net if it doesn't feel right in person.

Do you have a physical showroom?

Not yet. Pumela is online-only — we're keeping overhead lean so the price stays honest. To make up for it: a 30-day return window, a live configurator, detailed material photography on every product page, and design help by email whenever you want it.

Is there a try-at-home program?

Not in the traditional sense — shipping a sofa cross-country for a test sit is hard to do well. What we offer instead: the Configurator to visualize your space, detailed material photography on every product page, and a 30-day return window after delivery as the safety net.

Can I talk to a design consultant before ordering?

Yes — and there's no upsell. Email support@pumela.com with photos or a rough sketch of your room (or just the dimensions), and one of our team will sketch a Togo configuration that fits. We'd rather get you the right setup than a bigger order.

Customization

Mixing materials, building your own configuration, lead times.

Can I mix materials across modules?

Yes, within reason. Most customers mix within a family — leather Chair plus leather Sofa, or fabric Loveseat plus fabric Ottoman — for visual coherence. Mixing across materials (fabric Loveseat with a leather Ottoman, say) is doable and looks intentional. Use the Configurator to see combos live.

How does the Togo Configurator work?

Head to the Configurator. You pick modules, swap colors and materials, see the live total, save your layout to your account, and check out — all in one flow. Saved configurations stay in your account so you can return to a build later or share it.

How long do custom orders take vs in-stock?

Every Pumela order goes through 7–14 days of production at our overseas facility, then international shipping (3–5 weeks to the US; 6–8 weeks to the EU and UK). Custom configurations don't add extra time — they're built in the same production cycle as standard pieces.

Are custom orders returnable?

Custom configurations are made-to-order, so they aren't eligible for change-of-mind returns. Defects, shipping damage, and warranty claims are 100% covered just like standard pieces — same 5-year warranty, same support. EU/UK customers, see our Terms for statutory exemption details.

Ordering & Payment

Cards, BNPL, sales tax, modifications.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and supported buy-now-pay-later providers. The full list of options appears at checkout based on your region.

Do you offer financing?

Yes — buy-now-pay-later options are available at checkout depending on your region (US, EU, UK). Eligibility and providers vary by country. Most providers don't do a hard credit pull for standard plans.

Do you charge sales tax?

US sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address, following each state's nexus rules. EU/UK customers see applicable VAT and any customs duties calculated at checkout where supported — the total you see before paying is what you pay.

Is there a trade program for designers?

We're building one. If you're an interior designer or trade professional with a project that needs multiple pieces, email support@pumela.com — we work out trade pricing on a per-project basis while the formal program is in build.

Discounts for first-time, military, students, or first-responders?

Every new customer gets $50 off their first order (€45 / £40 outside the US) via our welcome offer — subscribe to the newsletter for it. Dedicated military / student / first-responder programs aren't in place yet but are on the roadmap.

Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?

Until production starts at our overseas facility (usually within 24 hours of placing the order), we can update or cancel anything. After that, modifications get harder and custom configurations can't be cancelled. Email support@pumela.com fast if you need a change — speed matters.

Shipping & Delivery

Where we ship, how long it takes, what it costs.

Is shipping free?

Free in the US — every order, no minimum, no hidden fees. EU and UK customers see a calculated international shipping fee at checkout based on destination and order size. Full details on our Shipping Policy page.

How long until my order arrives?

7–14 days production at our overseas facility, plus shipping:

  • United States: 3–5 weeks total from order
  • EU & UK: 6–8 weeks total from order

Tracking is sent the moment your order leaves the facility.

Do you offer white-glove (in-room) delivery?

Not currently. Every order ships internationally via FedEx International, which delivers curbside or to your door depending on your address. The good news: the Togo needs zero assembly — slide each module to its spot, drop the cushions on top, and you're lounging in under 10 minutes.

Can I schedule a specific delivery date?

Inbound international shipments don't allow precise date scheduling. Once your order arrives in-country (or in the US), you can coordinate a delivery window directly with FedEx using your tracking number.

Do you ship to Hawaii, Alaska, or PO boxes?

Hawaii and Alaska, yes — every state, no surcharge. PO boxes, no — these shipments are too large. You'll need a physical address.

Will you remove my old furniture?

No, we can't offer haul-away with international shipping. For local disposal, services like 1-800-GOT-JUNK, Junk King, or your municipal bulk pickup are usually the easiest path.

Apartment upstairs without an elevator — extra fee?

No charge from us. Because the Togo ships as separate modular boxes (Chair / Loveseat / Sofa / Corner / Ottoman each in their own packaging), upper-floor walk-ups are much more doable than wrestling a single one-piece sectional up the stairs.

Do you ship internationally beyond the US, EU, and UK?

Not yet. If you're elsewhere and would love to order, drop us a note at support@pumela.com — we'll let you know the moment we expand to your region.

How do I track my order?

You'll get a FedEx International tracking number by email the moment your order leaves our facility. You can also see live order status anytime under Your Orders.

When It Arrives

What happens between the doorbell and the first lounge.

Does the Togo need any assembly?

Nope — zero assembly. Each module arrives as one completed piece: no legs to attach, no screws, no Allen keys, no instruction sheet to decode. Cut the wrap, slide the module to its spot, drop the cushions on top. That's the whole setup.

How long from box to lounging?

Around 5 minutes per module. Most of that is finding the right spot in the room and breaking down the boxes for recycling.

Will I need help moving it into place?

Each module is light enough for one person to slide into position — the Ottoman is practically a one-hand carry. For the Sofa or Corner module, a second set of hands makes positioning easier but isn't required.

What about the packaging?

Everything ships in recyclable cardboard with standard protective padding — no exotic materials. Break the boxes down at the seams and they'll fit curbside recycling in most cities. Fully compostable packaging is on our roadmap.

What if something arrives wrong or I have questions?

Email support@pumela.com or hop on a quick video call with our team — we'll walk you through it. Post-delivery help isn't gated by warranty status, paid plan, or anything else.

Returns & Exchanges

How returns work and what they cost.

What is your return window?

30 days from delivery for change-of-mind returns. Item must be in original condition, in original packaging, with all parts and hardware. Full terms on our Return and Refund Policy page.

Is there a restocking fee?

For change-of-mind returns, yes — 25% on the item subtotal. It covers inspection and getting the piece ready for the next customer. Defects or damage on arrival? No restocking fee, and we cover return shipping.

Who pays for return shipping?

Defective or damaged on arrival → we cover it (prepaid label sent). Change of mind → you cover it. We strongly recommend a trackable, insured method since we can't process refunds for items lost in return transit.

Can I exchange for a different color or size?

Exchanges work as a return-plus-new-order: return the original (subject to the standard policy), and place the new order. Email support@pumela.com first and we'll coordinate so the new order is queued up while the return is in motion.

What if my order arrives damaged?

We cover it 100% — return shipping, replacement, all of it. Email support@pumela.com within 7 days of delivery with clear photos of the damage plus a wide shot of the whole piece. Replacements ship from production as soon as possible.

Are custom configurations returnable?

Made-to-order configurations aren't eligible for change-of-mind returns, but they're fully covered for defects, shipping damage, and the 5-year warranty. EU/UK statutory exemptions apply per our Terms.

Warranty & Care

How long it's covered and how to keep it looking new.

How long is the warranty?

5 years, tiered by component. Frame: 5 years. Cushions & springs: 3 years. Upholstery defects: 1 year. See the Product Warranty page for what's covered, what's excluded, and how to file a claim.

How do I clean leather, fabric, or velvet?

Quick reference (full guide on the Care page):

  • Leather: dust with a soft cloth weekly. Conditioner twice a year. No harsh solvents.
  • Fabric: vacuum weekly. Spot-clean spills immediately with water and mild soap.
  • Velvet: brush regularly in one direction. Use a velvet-specific cleaner for stains — avoid water-based products.
What if I spill wine or coffee?

Blot immediately (don't rub) with a clean, dry cloth. For leather, water and mild soap is usually enough as a first move. For fabric or velvet, the Care Guide has material-specific instructions. Speed matters — a 10-minute response usually saves the day.

Are the cushion covers removable?

Covers are removable for inspection and minor care, but they're tailored to the cushion form rather than designed for full machine washing. For deep cleaning, get in touch — we offer guidance and can connect you with upholstery professionals if needed.

Do you offer repair or re-upholstery services?

Warranty-covered repairs, yes — see the Warranty page. Out-of-warranty refresh and re-upholstery services are being rolled out; email us with what you need and we'll quote.

Can I buy replacement cushions or covers?

Yes — email support@pumela.com with your order number and what you need. We'll quote replacement pricing and lead time (usually 7–14 days production plus shipping).
